If you adjust the head rest to where your head is (and your head can rest comfortably on it) then it will decrease the chances of a whiplash. The center of your head must rest on the center of the head rest.

  3. For children below 30-35lbs – a rearfacing carseat.
    For children over 35lbs – forward facing carseat that fits the child.
    For elementary aged children – high back booster.
    For teens and adults – a correctly fitting seatbelt and headrest positioned correctly (middle of headrest even with tops of ears).

  7. Side air bags would be the 1st thing I’d go for because of the added protection.
